Ended up going with the UCON From URD. Gadget and Scott helped a bunch to make it a success.

    Damn that sounds wicked!

Noticed your transmission is hanging way too long on shifts, especially 1st to 2nd. You getting a shift kit anytime soon? Either that or you'll need a new trans in the near future :p

I noticed that too. Plan to get valve body upgrade soon in the next few months. How's your build coming along? I haven't checked your thread in a long while lol.

    Please don't its embarrassing :p

Im basically hung up by money right now. Getting out of the military and getting a new career so big purchases have been reduced. I was strong armed into getting some $800 CO's which re-depleted my exhaust fund . I get some bonuses in Feb though and should be able to get everything installed then.

I feel like this should be stickied (tors build also obviously) and ever member should have to view it. This is what ive been wanting to do for a couple years now, and in a few months should be boosting away. Im very i.terested to see long term survival of the engine at this level of boost. Any plans to go a little higher stock? And how many miles are on ur truck?

Ah I know how that goes man. With this build I've learned how well my patience was tolerated lol. I always saw it as "I've waited this long...might as well take my time." Plus this thing is my daily so had to dish out the CC to cover expenses if I had no cash. Gotta pay to play lol

NIce man. Do it if u got the patience and and or a second vehicle. Expect your truck to be down depending on your knowledge of wrenching and such. Where u plan on getting your hot side/headers fabbed?

At most I'm probably gonna go up to 7.5psi. I'm pretty happy at 6psi too. We'll see. I just made 70k miles. 2006 double cab

You may have answered this question before but is there anything else I would need to upgrade in order to run the turbo kit?

There is a place close called city diesel, and that is th front runner for fabbing right now, as since turbo related stuff is about all they do (albiet on diesels) . Although, recently i learned the my in-laws that are pretty race oriented are good friends with some turbo-ers, one of which apparently builds turbo manifolds, so i may talk to him as well

Depends what you already have... You need quite a lot actually cause there isn't a turbo Kit for our trucks.

Turbo, Turbomanifolds, Intercooler, charge pipes, a whole bunch of fittings, Fuel injectors, Bigger fuel pump, ECU to tune and much more. thats just thinking off the top of my head.

i wish we had more fabricators in hawaii, so limited on an island. If there is, they charge an arm and a leg just because they can. make good use of your sources and ask lots of questions. Tor has been a big help and i awarded him with some cookies last year lol.

Yeah hes a genius, and he has walked me thru my wish list. Its crazy the it was cheaper to have a tx company fab for u and ship it to hi than get a price gouging local shop to do it.

I did. I had the Greddy ProFec B2. Loved it. Gave it to my girlfriend though. I had a 10 psi spring, and used it to regulate the boost to 14.7 psi. In days prior, I also used it to increase boost from 5 to 8 psi. Currently I just run the ~7 psi spring. :cookiemonster:

Awesome. I'll probably end up getting the AEM truboost.

So I did the 7.5psi spring last night and sent in my Data log. I had my go pro setup to take a video but I forgot to hit record! I'm an idiot.... Lol. Anyways i Got email from Scott this morning and all my reading look great! Looks like I'm tuned at 7.5 psi. Just gotta see if any codes pop up.

I also picked up a separate valve body last night for the transmission. Will be sending that in to get upgraded. Still debating on IPT or Level 10. I know there's some guys who went with IPT here but gadget also went with level 10. anyone know the process of this?

    I know Gadget recommends IPT.

Lucario Runner did a swap in Toon714's. There are also a few more people on here who've done it.

Glad to hear it is the tune is working spot on. Better get that new video. Might as well make a 40-90 acceleration video while you're at it. ;)

Everything I heard, they are both equally as good. However, you can't go wrong following URD's advice
