I know I'll be hated on, but this was meant to be a temp solution till I find the right muffler. I need some clearance, so the stocker had to go. But I prefer the sound of the stocker - getting too old for too much noise.

Enter the pile of junk from the corner of my garage, leftover from my daily driven drag car dismantle. I have 2 Supertrapp mufflers staring at me, that would fit perfectly up in the spot the current muffler takes so much space in. I had these on my car just for the long drive to the track, then took 'em off for race duty. When I put them on the car, they were nice and quiet, so I figure why not try 'em on the Tacoma for a little while.

Well - I love it. Slight deeper tone when accelerating, but almost silent under cruise condition at all speeds. Perfect for my tastes. And you can't see it unless you crawl under, so I won't get the thumbs down from the less understanding folks on the road :)

    Hate if you must! :D

No drone whatsoever. Almost perfectly silent - much like the stocker.

It is a bit pricey, although this particular SuperTrapp muffler is a bit too big for the application. It was laying around so I used it. Not sure i would spend $200+ on it - although it does fit the space and sound requirements perfectly for me, so who knows......

i had two of them on a 89 s-10 blazer that i put a efi 350 in with headers back in 95......they do sound good and take up very little room.plus you can change/add/remove the plates for low end torque/loud/quiet........and so on.

Yeah my buddy has one on his KLR650. Thing is LOUD! But that's because that's how the plates are set up. I love adjustability of the super trapp.
