doing 37s soon and plan to regear and might as well throw an lsd in since the factory "lsd" is a joke. I do travel on interstate and do driving in town. Trying to see if 4:56 would be best of 4:88 and also as far as an lsd was looking into the Detroit. Truck is 2012 trd sport prerunner

Putting 37"s on a Tacoma is a joke. Especially a 2wd one. But if you must 4.88 and a Yukon dura grip should do.

If you gotta have 37's and some sort of traction device.....

    ARB all the way!

(buy some spare axle shafts while you're at it)

My trucks an auto on 35's with 4.56's. Sometimes I wish I'd gone with 4.88's. I'd say if you have an auto go 4.88's with 37's

ECGS recommends 4.88s for an auto with 35s. So definitely go 4.88s. And ARB all the way.

Do you say this based on your experience with 35s or bigger on your truck, or your wheeling experience? OP asked for a gear recommendation, not your opinion on whether or not he should do it.

Professional experience building differentials and selling them. Does that suffice or do I need to justify myself further to you?

So you are qualified to comment on which gears he should use. Does selling diffs make you qualified to say it is a joke to put 37s on a Taco? And FYI, 4.88s with 37s will leave you a little under geared, especially when considering the extra mass and rolling resistance of 37s. But 4.88 is a low a gear set as you can get for our fronts.
