Anybody who went from a 2nd gen to a '16 have any regrets? Even little ones? I'm still hemming and hawing about it... Can't help it. Need a push. Or talk me out of the tree to wait on the '17. Help!

I owned a 2012 DCLB 4x4 Auto, was a great truck. I now own a 2016 AC Sport 6spd. I think the fit and finish feels much better, I feel like I had more room behind the wheel side to side and around me than I do in the AC.

I love the new technology in the new Tacoma, it feels tighter, it feels much higher quality, and I really like the styling, I guess to each their own.

I'm very happy with my '16 and think it'll be a great truck for many many years to come.

I'm very happy with the 16. My second gen was a great truck also. Biggest downfall for me was the seating positions. Could never get the right spot. I'm 5'8 and always was sitting low.

I came from a 2006 TRDOR. Like my 3rd gen TRDOR better. Although I love the 2nd gens as well.

My 2016 is still the only one in the 4,300+ souls town I live in. :)

I just didn't know what to say to that statement. Apparently there are more 3rd gens on the road than 2nd gens:D

You don't feel that's still a problem with your '16?

I went from a great '06 TRD Sport 4X4 DCLB to the same in '16....Silver to Inferno...

Loved the '06...but it was 10 yrs and time for a change I thought. I'm very happy with it so far..... No issues other than the U joints needing grease.

    Like the new styling....

I'd say the 16 is a big upgrade over my 06. It's feels and looks better inside. The styling inside and out is way more modern and very good looking. The touch screen, sunroof, smart key, everything is awesome. I'm loving this truck. Go for it dude! You only live once. Might as well be happy behind the wheel.

This is my first Tacoma and I like it a lot, but I do regret not looking at a used 2nd Gen. There are just way too many issues for a brand new truck. I currently have 4 outstanding concerns on my '16, which is after bringing it in for warranty work once already. All will be covered under the warranty but it's still a huge hassle.

I prefer the way the 2016 4Runner drives (trans & motor) but love the upgraded tech, fit and finish of the interior on the 2016 Tacoma. Luckily I have both in the garage. Disappointed that despite downsizing the motor and change in transmission that the new Tacoma is not getting significantly improved gas mileage. I am impressed with the ride quality and quiet interior of my 2016 TRD OR compared to the others.
