I am really looking for a new Regular Cab 4x4 with a V6. I always thought they were not available anymore. But a local dealer here just got an 07 in on trade. They were just as shocked to see one, too. Where or how can I get one?

Say whaaat?!?! I would have bought one if they were available. Thats weird. You can't order one like that. I don't know how it came to be. Its possible someone swapped the motor. I've thought about it but its kind of silly haha. Better off just turbocharging the 4 banger.

Toyota did not build any V6 reg cab Tacomas for '07. Either a swap ($$) or the dealer is a dumb a**; call the dealer and tell him to open hood and count the little spark pluggies.

Yeah, you either have a swap on your hands, or a really slick seller of a dealer. Either way, my own curiosity would get the better of me in your situation. I would want to see it. I would just be EXTREMELY weary of your dealer and his V6 Reg. Cab.

    Cheers!

the power specs of the new 2.7L is not far off of the 3.4L V6. IMO the 2.7 is plenty for the reg cab. A v6 would be an awesome option, dont get me wrong.

I have a '95.5 Tacoma Regular Cab v6 4x4 (Made from 95.5-97) Super quick pickup. Dangerous though, will get sideways in 2nd on dry pavement. I'm guessing thats why toyota quit offering that engine as a option. Or maybe it was hard to market 16mpg in a micro truck.
