    I'm not too hip on all the pros/cons of aluminum. Obviously aluminum is lighter, but how strong is it? Good enough to take a ding here and there?

    Its not gonna be the best for the hard real wheelers/bashers out there that scrape boulders and plow down saplings, but for the occasional bump it should be just fine. My old bumper I had on my truck was Aluminum and I pushed a few fallen 6-8" dia trees off of forest service roads with it, stopped my 9500lb warn winch while stuck, and tugged out stuck friends from the recovery points with it and it never hesitated.
    To ease everyones minds, I'll probably add a few gussets here and there on the Aluminum version of the bumper to address any possible weak points. I'd say it should be more than tough enough for most people, and will still accept winches and recovery loads just as the current steel bumpers are set up for, but at half the weight of the steel one. :)

    That sounds awesome, I've always liked the idea of aluminess, but I dont like the way they look.
