    A few bolts are different.
    Bed side protection does not save you from everything.... Did save my tail light from being plucked out of its location though.

    Does anybody know were I can pick up some of that black plastic that covers the bedside cut? I went to Lowes that night and they were useless.

    I think I'm going to need one of these.

    Just up in the air deciding whether I want the swing out tire carrier version or not.

    I kinda like the spare in the stock location - it's out of the way. If the spare is left in the stock location, does that become a ground clearance obstacle and departure angle limiting factor, once the high clearance bumper is installed?

    It can be a clearance issue. I often wish I had gotten the tire carrier option.

    Yes, definitely becomes a clearance issue, especially if you stuff a 285 spare under the truck.
    If you don't need to use the truck with the tailgate down for hauling very often, I'd get the swingout on there

    I’m running 285’s but I think I’m going to pick up a 255/85/R16 for my spare. If I’m correct this should help with the clearance issues of a 285 hanging underneath the bed. Keeping in a 285/75/R16 is notexactly the same height as a 255/85R16 but it’s pretty close. Good enough to get to a tire shop for repair.

    Has anyone else done this? I can' t be the only one.

    285/75/R16
    Diameter inches 32.83

    255/85/R16
    Diameter inches 33.07

    Difference of .24

    sounds like a good idea. You're a full inch thinner with the 255 for more clearance and the diameter is no big deal for a spare. They're both 33's as far as I'm concerned!
