What about a hidden pocket attached to one of the holes already in the bed?

I dont always have my toolbox with me and just to have a spot to keep recovery items all the time would be perfect.

    A few bolts are different.
I bet with the right placement of rock lights This could be achieved easily. Would look mean on the trail at night!

Sure, they stand about 3" tall and 2" wide.
I've thought of this many time and would love to try and implement some sort of larger bedside storage boxes. They'd be very useful for tools, tie downs, spare parts, recovery gear or anything else.
Definitely true! Might have to figure this out.

Well, trying to get caught up. I had some back problems back in 07-08 and I just had it act up again at about 6:00 last night for the first time since all the way back then. Went to the chiropractor this AM and got it adjusted and starting to feel a little better, but I'm still pretty much stuck to working from my computer today since I cant lift/move bumpers, nor bend into different positions to weld. :(
Hoping I wake up feeling at least 80% better tomorrow and can carefully get some work done but dont want to mess it up again and end up down for even longer.

If you can cut out a piece of something similar to this: http://www.eplastics.com/Plastic/Lexan_Clear_Polycarbonate_Sheet
that you can get at a local homedepot to fit into that spot and I can send you a couple 4" strips of RGB lights that have 3LEDs on them each and can be wired to any color that you would like (I can explain that to you if you want to get them)

I can also supply waterproof 12" extremely bright Flexible LED strips if you want to try those.
