    Same.

Im currently the only person who sells the BAB237131-056 aftermarket remote.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/231349790516

Im had my supplier make file to burn onto remote key.

To my knowledge (and research) some of the 1st gens had the RS3000 installed either as a Dealer or Port installed option. There were two remote types, both having the FCC ID BAB237131-022. One remote had the black case and was for use with vehicles with the RS3000 system up to 1997. After 1997, the remotes switched to grey cases, same FCC ID, though.

Now here's where it gets fun. The black remotes had an FCC ID of BAB237131-056, which replaces the previously mentioned xxx-022 ID. That Toyota Part # is PT398-07100.

For grey people, the FCC ID is the same, xxx-056, but the Part # is PT398-07101.

Since the first gens were from 1995-2004, you could have keyless installed - you just need to check if you have a glass breakage sensor. If you do, chances are, you have keyless. From there, it's just checking which type of remote you have, which you can check from the ECU.

If the grey all-in-ones are in your plan, count me in for buying a couple. I hate having a dongle AND a key :D

I have a 2003 with factory keyless (no glass breakage sensor - yet). It has a black remote with the FCC ID BAB237131-056.

I think my 2003 dbl cab with keyless entry has that code, but it's kinda hard to read the number on the back of the fob. Keep me posted and I'll try to see if it'll work on mine. I would love to have one!!

Hey nenago, if you ever expand the keys out to the RS3000 series (the grey remote version), I'll be first in line for 2 of them. Love the all-in-one idea.

Price has been dropped due to key shell not having toyota logo. Shell is much better quality than shell with logo.

Got mine in the mail today and programmed it using the instructions on the eBay listing and then had it cut at my local Ace Hardware ($2 + tax). Works perfectly!

Good to hear! Can you confirm how Step #2 works?

Don't you have to UNLOCK the DRIVER'S door BEFORE you can OPEN it?

How do you UNLOCK ONLY the DRIVER'S door? Don't BOTH doors unlock when you hit the button, or turn the key in the external lock? Are you supposed to just pull-up on the lock itself?

Apologies for the (silly) questions, but I'm currently traveling so I can't just go to the garage and try it myself...

For me, I started with both doors unlocked and then simply opened the driver's door. Definitely read through the steps a couple times to get familiar with them before starting the process or you will mess it up (took me about 4 times through to get it right).
