As enticing as the plug n play version is, I'm too cheap to pay for it. Plus, I give a great deal of credence to the support and contributions that are made to this site by KB Voodoo and Nick. So, I purchased the KB Voodoo kit. But I have a question for those in-the-know. Without opening up a discussion on the pros and cons of taps and splices vs. soldering, etc., I have already decided I am going to install this with Posi-Taps. I've read too many varying opinions and ideas to be clear on what size taps to use. Can someone please confirm for me the proper size posi-taps I need to do this right? Thank you!

    It's getting there.
I bought a KB Voodoo kit and never got around to installing it. I can be a real chicken when it comes to wiring, even though every time I get to the other side of a project I usually think 'well that was easy'. I might sell my new in box kit and buy the PnP version when it comes out just because I'm a scardy cat.

Also me, except the sell the kit. Haven't bought one yet because I keep assuming by the time I get around to installing it someone will be offering a plug n play kit

Stoopid question (assumption)- I assume that a remote starter kit can't be installed on a manual transmission equipped vehicle? I don't think the clutch release button (don't remember the right name) will stay engaged once the key is off. Mine lives outside and it sure would be nice...

I believe there are kits out there that can be made to work on a manual transmission. I may have seen a thread or two on this site about it, but I can't remember for sure. This kit, however, is only for automatics with the push button start. I don't think it works on autos w/ keys, but I could be mistaken. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

See, I'm exactly the opposite. I enjoy the challenge and get a great sense of accomplishment from doing it. In fact, I would probably dump the kit out on the kitchen table with all the wires and connectors and such easy to see. Then I would call my wife and daughter over to look at the seemingly impossible task and say "look what I'm gonna do". Of course, I will have hidden the instructions and not admit to all the installation videos I've watched online...shhhhh! that's a secret. Then when it's done and I demonstrate how it works, I will just sit back and let them marvel at my brilliance. But then I've also been told I may have a bit of an ego problem... I don't know if I agree.

Can anyone comment on the correct size posi-taps? Will the 20-22's work or do they need to be smaller?
    Thank you!
