I just installed it last night. It took me a total of about 45 minutes that's because I should've watch the video first. It really works great.

I assume the distance would be limited to the normal oem fob reach?

I just tested it on my street. It started about 120 yards away.

I used a DEI DBALL2 for RSR (3x lock on the factory remote). Took 20 minutes to do (I install these for a living so for someone with less experience I would say 45-60minutes. It's not plug and play but it's about 10 wires to connect. Hardest part was to get to the PTS connector lol

That looks exactly like the 12 volt one. It's totally plug in. No cutting or splicing.

I just purchased the plug & play remote start. I am waiting for it to arrive. I am happy to hear that people are happy with their install. I was hoping that it was worth it.

Are there any good remote starts for an SR (non push button)?

So far I'm totally happy with it. It was 110 here today. Never had to get into a hot truck.
The guy at 12 volt solutions said to email him regarding non push to start trucks. He said they have something in the works.
If anyone buys one feel free to drop my name, Tony from Chico CA. Maybe I can get a refferal fee.
For the record I never heard of the company until I was looking on YouTube for a add a leaf kit and one of their videos came up.

I'm up and running. So far so good. Has anyone used a smart watch yet?

Just got mine yesterday and installed just now. Took about 15-20 min and was super easy to install. I have no experience with this stuff and even I was able to do it.

Question for others who have installed it... did you do anything special to secure the wires/module? I zip-tied the module itself down but just left all the wires dangling. is this safe in the long run or should i have zip tied everything down?

The only thing I noticed was when I locked my key fob in the car (ON PURPOSE) I had my phone with me (SmartStart) and I noticed that a warning light popped up on the dash. I reset the truck and it went off. No big deal.
