I just bought the same remote starter for my truck 2011 auto. I havn't installed yet. Did either of you two have to buy a "bypass" to use this unit in your truck?

Dont forget to ground your park/nuetral switch wire or it doesnt even do anything and on mine I had to add the tach wire. You can put it inline with one of the ignition coils that has ac current. You want it to have ac current so it will know its started and it will then shut off the starter. Those were my problems.

ARB bumper, warn 9.5 winch. carbon fiber hood. Leer top with thule racks and MOAB from thule. Electric fans, blue sea fuse block, Sony dvd Head unit, Xm tuner and HD tuner. New carpet and new racing seats. ( other half doesnt like them i think). Nwor springs and adjustable coil overs. Sky jacker rear shocks. Slot and drilled rotors. Engine Titanium ceramic coated headers, no cat, jba cat back. URD Rear Sensor Simulator. Leds all around and inside cab and HID H4 hi/lo beams.

I have the 1401, you use a relay to bypass the clutch switch. when the 1401 goes HOT ( all i used was a input from the acc from the 1401) the relay joins the both sides of the switch to make it start. That way it will act normal and you dont defeat the clutch switch.

1401 is a breeze to install along with the smart smart. I love it. Took me about 5 hours to install it.

Ok, I'm sure this is stupid but this is what I've got. 2011 Auto tacoma doublecab. Python 1401 1-way remote start with a fortin tacoma 2011 g-key bypass. All I'm looking for is remote start with keyless entry nothings else. Unit clicks "7times", error but does not start. keygen and the starter setup appeared to go fine, with the exception of no start.

    1. I did not hook up any of the H2 harness 18-pin connector AUX settings. Do I need to? I don't want/need any of those options. I've hooked up H2/10(green/blk keysense ignition), H2/17(blue footbrake) & H2/18(ground)

    2. How do you put the unit in "automatic trans" mode? I was getting an error with my timermode/turbo mode/manual mode error.

    3. Is it necessary to hook up the
ignition 2/ flex relay output H3/6
12VDC constant input for ignition 2 and flex relay
12VDC constant input for igniton 1 relay

My diagram from wirecolor.com has the location of the ignition 1&2, starter 1&2 and both positive 12volts. Just don't know what goes with which from the wire harness above.

    Any help would be wonderfull...
