Remote Start

    Well, I meant without disabling various stuff on the truck.

    After disabling the door closed sensor, you'll need to disable the brake actuation sensor and brake/shift-interlock (so you can get out of Park), and also disable the steering column lock. I'm not sure if there are any other systems you'll need to disable. I would suggest checking with your insurance company to make sure disabling those safety systems won't void your coverage.

    I'd love to be able to do this so the engine doesn't shut off once I open the door. Can you please explain more in detail how to do this?

    What's the point if it's going to die when you hit the brake anyways? Disabling the door pin and brake switch will likely just lead to more unexpected problems. These Toyota and Lexus systems are obviously way smarter than the alarm manufacturers so you're pretty much out of luck.
