I bought mine from someone on here who was making them last year for like $50. Took about an hour and a half to install because I soldered all the connection. Works great.

I have the remote start, too. Question, if you let it run until it shuts down, does the door unlock when you try to open it, or do you have to use the fob to unlock it?

If you let it run until it shuts down, it acts as if you did nothing. So you could unlock from door or fob.
Source: My son spilt yogurt on his shirt then wiped it off onto the carpet so I took to long to get outside before it went through the whole timer.

If I let mine run until it shuts off (10 or 15 min) the button on the door doesn’t work. I have to use the fob to unlock the door. Not a big deal for me. I love my remote start.

GREAT! That's what I was getting at, so it's not just me, everyone's does the same thing, thanks all. Does anyone have the smart start, also? That does the same thing if run until it stops. I'm ok with having to use the fob to unlock, just didn't know if that's what it was supposed to do. I love my remote ,too!

For people who has the 12volt, do you guys use a smartstart or just the 3xlock on your key fob? If so, which Smart start did you get?

I have a viper installed. There are two things I am a little shocked about. #1 remote start - open the door, it shuts off. (kinda nuts) #2 if you unlock the truck but don't go to it, the Truck Does NOT Arm itself again.

My other vipers, when you close the doors, after 60 seconds, the alarm is automatic.

The good thing about it is you can start your truck from anywhere, the bad thing is you have to pay for it every year.
