You bet! I just ordered a kit for my brother in law. Still waiting on gauge cluster and then I'll put mine on. Thanks!

Think I’m gonna end up ordering a screenprotech sooner than later. This bugs me every day. For you guys that have replaced the screen, did you just remove like the left side, bottom, and top of the trim panels? I read the first post and saw the pics but wasn’t sure still.

I’ve taken off under the steering wheel and the one around the radio before but didn’t want to mess with extra stuff if not needed. I wanna get the bit of dust out from under the Trip meter spinner before I do anything else then will probably do the protector while everything is exposed

Radio bezel comes off first. Lower steering wheel and put wiper and turn signals in down position. Pull cluster bezel off by gently pulling at left side
(vent area). Maneuver bezel around steering column and it will be free. You don’t have to remove any other trim.

Where are you guys seeing that the kit comes with 2? Does it come with 2 of each piece? I was looking at the screenprotech site but its not clear what all it comes with.

Nice. I ordered the add on second kit for another 6 bucks. Guess I'll have plenty of extras.

New cluster plastic should be here by the end of the week as well. I'm excited! My cluster looks like hell and I've only cleaned it once, truck has 6000k miles.

My gauge cluster came in today but the truck is having the fuel pump replaced so it’s currently at the dealership. I’m rocking out the Sentra rental.

Mine was replaced at 5,000 under warranty, the complete cluster assembly, and it has only been compressed air cleaned since. At 25,000 miles it looks pretty nasty but no scratches. Waiting for these final reviews before I follow your leads.

Did they warranty yours for the scratches or for another reason?

Odometer started random resets between fill ups. Was very annoying. Apparently that was a "thing" like many other "things" that they covered on the 1st model year of the 3rd gens.

Decided to go ahead and put on the protector this evening on the brand new cluster. This is how the gauge comes to you brand new. F9764006-38D4-40B3-97E4-494B023E7440.jpg32C95C48-E91B-48B9-B0B5-C6EA6D6AC539.jpg

There is nothing behind cluster except open air so any dust, lint, etc is going to get behind there during transport to you. Who’s to say that some scratches aren’t behind the plastic from the get go based on the packing.

This is the screen protector kit from @screenprotech. All protectors are cut very well and accurate to the gauge, radio, and AT shift knob. They also give you a nice squeegee, cloth, and spray bottle. 31E8EFEF-3153-4377-83F1-BEB3D2433C80.jpg

The film that is used for the screen protector is very forgiving and can be placed a few times to get the adjustment right. The key is to have a clean environment and use the slip solution that is in the spray bottle very liberally. Lint and dust will get underneath the protector if you’re not careful so make sure the gauge is free and clear before you put the protector on.

This is the end result. 1480B6AF-ECC7-4A56-B79F-E221793B82E7.jpg

The water drops you see are on the inside of the gauge. I am very happy with the results and will update with another pic once the gauge is in the truck. I now have piece of mind that the gauge is protected from the get go.

Big thanks to @screenprotech for making a great product!

Looks great! Did you clean the new cluster prior to installing the protector? Im wondering if the lint cloth and cleaning solution provided scratched the new cluster?

Mine just got delivered, there's already dust and styrofoam pieces under the protective plastic sheet. No wonder this thing scratches so easy it definitely feels super cheap. It also comes pre-scratched straight from Toyota. This was sealed in a box, I peeled off the protective sticker and snapped these pics.

I actually didn’t wipe it off but ran a stream of water over it and had some steam in the background to minimize dust. Tried to take every precaution so I didn’t have to wipe it at all.

Once I did that, I sprayed the cluster liberally with the slip solution and then the protector on both sides. I put it on after that and squeegeed it from the center out.
