Yeah I've had airbags on 2 of my other trucks. 01 gmc 2500 4x4, 03 gmc 1500 4x4, And I have them on my work Truck (2012 F-150 4x4) They are nice if you are carrying heavier loads you can adjust for it.

Are you running the full 3" of lift with your OME kit?

I'm from Planet "I don't know anything about suspension" haha. So Icon sells all the parts you would need for a rebuild? And i could easily do it myself?

Yeah I am.. I have the 885's with a 1/4" top plate spacer for a full 3" lift. plus the trim packer spacer on the drivers side for the lean.

    Alright Gents...

After a thorough examination of the evidence, I have decided to forgo the "DD" spacers from my 3" lift. Can someone tell me the correct bolt (x2) that is OEM after I remove the spacers to get it back to stock?

The guys who did the lift install kept the parts removed and I didn't think about it at the time... That was awhile ago, so those parts are MIA...

Should be able to use the bolts that are in there now if there's enough thread... Can't remember

Rgr...I know they would work, but they're over an 1 1/2" in length. Guess I could cut'em down and still use them and save the cash though.

Just so I do this correctly...

Can I just remove the aluminum spacer & reuse the bolts that are currently there? Or will I have to get the OEM bolts?
Does everything look normal here(I bought the truck like this)?

OEM bolts as i believe the bolts for the spacer are too long.

Gotcha. Calling the local dealership to see how much the bolts cost.

I attached a .pdf of parts for that area of the truck.....just in case it helps anyone. I believe the Nut & Bolt part numbers are: Bolt - 90080-11283
    Nut - 90178-A0047

    I'm not sure if I need part numbers: 41654A & 41653B
I think they are already on my truck but, if anyone wants to have a look at the photos I posted above and confirm this, it would be appreciated.

wow guys really..... take the spacer out, take the bolt and the spacer to the hardware store and get a bolt thats the proper lenght (real easy to figure out when you have the current bolt and spacer in your hand) and be done with it, no need to go to the dealer.

I'm bumping this to counter a lot of recent statements about diff drop (spacers) being necessary for any lifts exceeding 1.5".

I agree with this... the only problems I see are cause by the damage from hitting the skid plate... which looks like it would have just F**KED up some parts anyway with that amount of force

We would not have this problem if toyota put lock out hubs on the front axle. Then everbody wins no more differential drops and less where and tear on cv boots and joints.

    Can ya spell Tonneau

Awe. Then I'd be bitching about cleaning the mud out of the hubs so I can turn the locks. If you race, then you wouldn't want the stock setup anyway. If you don't, then it's nice to flip it on, do something you shouldn't, then flip it off. Did this on Saturday in a place I wouldn't have wanted to jump out of the truck.

Ok I just lifted my 2012 with the procomp prerunner 3" lift kit ( I have 23" from center hub to fender) But i have to mention that i also go with 285/75/16 tires. During the installation of the diff drop spacer i did not found it was not really a DD but a change of angle. So I decide to remove it but i took pictures of CV angle before removal and after. I also have to mention that the truck is not yet aligned. Please tell me what you think of it, i think its bad:

    With SPACER Driver side:
    BFL.jpg
    without spacer:
    AFL.jpg
    with spacer passenger side:
    BFR.jpg
    without spacer:
    AFR.jpg

I have to admit it does a small change in angle if you look at the fins of the boots. And then I decided to do the inner cv boot mod with hose clamp but the first fin on the passenger side still in contact with the second even at 1" of slide. Does the alignment will help as my camber is positive ??
I also want to know if you guys also slide the outter cv boot with a full 3" lift

Usually no one does the boot slide mod to the outers. Its just the inners that have the potential to wear and split.
I was installing my DD kit and was looking at the fins. Though it does change the angle slightly, it more rotates the diff. So i found it actually made my inner fins touch near the bottom front of the boot. So i took it out and not looking back.
I still may do the inner boot slide mod.
