I had to remove plastic clear bra on my 3rd gen. And now I need to remove left over glue, has anyone done this before and what did you use to not harm body paint?
Some people have said goo gone and don’t know if that is to harsh.
    Any help is appreciated.

I’ve used a product known in the industry as, deceivingly, decal adhesive remover.

Goo gone is fine but Goof off is too harsh for paint. Also WD40 works sometimes.

Post #3 and #4 are as good of advice as you will get. Goof Off will cause you more problems. I have used the 3M spray when Redoing decals on Police cars/Garbage Trucks etc. It works but can be hard to find. I have found that Goo gone works just as well.

WD40 works good. After using it, it is recommended to wash and wax the surface.

I would at least wash the area but if time and weather permits wax it too.
