I tried to find a YouTube video or a post on here on how to remove the grill bezel only. I want to paint it black, but keep the original grill. Do I remove the screws? Or screws and some of the tabs?

    Thanks!

It is screws and tabs. The grill and chrome bezel come out all as one piece. Pull the painted section holding the grill, then remove the grill and bezel out of it, then separate the grill from bezel. You’ll have to pinch the clips and remove all of the screws, go slow, and you won’t break any of them

Thanks, Jason. I broke a tab just experimenting, so now I'm a little afraid to try.

You gotta commit, but proceed slowly. The way I did it was remove all of the screws around the grill. Then prop the grill up using some scrap wood or something on the painted section so the grill is slightly in the air and free to drop. Then slowly move around pinching the clips, and gravity will slowly pull it down as you go around. It is a slow process but it will work well

Lay a blanket or towel down so you don’t scratch up your front end on the ground too!!

Yup. More like 1.34 or however long it took Google to return the results. If you could read my OP again, you would know that I wanted to remove the grill bezel without removing the grill itself.

Use Needle nose pliers. Pinch the tab with the pliers and barely move it through. By the time you get to the next one, it'll work itself out. Go slow, be patient. I did mine without breaking any.

C'mon man. I flipped through the threads you started. At least 5 in the first page of your 50+ started threads have been answered many times. That's how this forum operates. Don't let it bother you. If it does, don't reply and let it fall to the bottom.

Pretty sure you can't remove just the bezel.

However, you can pop the grille/bezel out, remove the bezel and put the grille back in. It's what I did when I installed my custom car grilles insert.

You can on the 18s pretty easily. The main part of the Grille is black, the bezel is chrome, you just look in behind and only remove the chrome tabs and the screws holding that portion on.

Thanks. I thought that was kind of the idea, but I couldn't really see if that was the case.

    Too much.
So you have to remove the whole thing to get the bezel out. I switch my bezel out, broke one clip getting the chrome one out. Slow and easy wins the race on that. There are multiple screws and tabs.

So, is it necessary to pull the whole grille to swap just the bezel trim??? I will like to get the black one.
