Ok - no conspiracy:). I guess that would invite spam links if allowed. Anyway, it is a nice looking truck. I'll leave the 2nd-3rd debate to you guys. I am happy with it - mostly. Just need Mat to release the twin turbos already and then I will be all the way happy.

Lucky you! I don't think they will be CA smog legal. Although, 5.29s and OV Tune makes these turds run good :deadhorse:

    ...too much shit to list.
OB links are blocked and a few other sites. Not every link.
There was a time when people were spamming OB links all over the forum trying to win some stupid giveaway.

Not probably legal here either. But if it is not obvious when you open the hood they will likely not notice it. Every smog check I have been to the guy raises the hood and scans it for a second and closes it.

Don't they stick that thingi in the exhaust to check the emissions level? My smog guy owns a taco too and in to offroading and stuff. I mean I could ask him to look the other way I guess :notsure:

Yes they do. I guess I am assuming that if I leave the catalytic thing in place it will still pass emissions?? If not, well then I get to RR it every year. Not having it on this truck is not an option. It gets fixed or it gets sold. I also have the option of licensing in a County in Washington that does not have smog tests.

Do you have the auto? Any thoughts on how that transmission will hold up to the added power?

Mine is an automatic. I don't know the answer to your question. I exhausted my google-fu and failed to find specifications for this transmission. It is an AC60 series made by Asian. I only found this partial article on it. https://saemobilus.sae.org/content/2016-01-1097. I cannot find the full text. Figure 10 implies it might be have a capacity of 330 ft-lbs.

Right now Mat is showing about 397 ft-lbs for 4-5 psi boost. That is about a 20% increase above capacity (if that is indeed the design capacity). I am not worried about that. I think I will also be more than happy since it boosts to this level at such a low rpm. This engine naturally makes plenty of HP on paper. Just not in the RPM range that is useful anywhere off a racing track or using as a pre-runner.
