I have the UG and I can't say my experience has been the same as Eric's. My buttons seem to work when I press them. I do agree that some of the settings and menus are not easy to navigate through. Getting all the displays and settings the way I wanted for the UG was a pain in the ass and took much too long to get everything all set. Getting to the fuel fill up menu seems like it should have been much easier. Not to mention if someone else drives your truck and puts gas in it. (Im not sure on how it is on the SG2) But once you have it set to display the items you selected it wasn't bad scrolling through the different display screens. Which I rarely had to do this as everything I needed was on the main screen. I also preferred the display of the UG over the SG2.

Another bad thing I would add is the mounting for the UG sucks. It comes with a suction cup arm for the window. But would constantly fall off. Where the SG2 you can mount other areas and make it look much cleaner. (Behind the steering wheel and below the mirror.)

All in all I wouldn't say it is a bad set up. It could definitely just use some changes. From ease of access to mounting.

I have the UG out of my old truck if anyone wants to see it in action and mess around with it. Not sure Ill put it in my new truck just yet.

I've got the Ultraguage and love it...well, other than the stuff about it that I hate anyway. Setup is a huge PITA and the non-detachable cable was sucky to install. OTOH, the display is great and I've never had any issues with the buttons. I'll be putting this in my new truck as soon as I feel like messing with the install.

I've never touched a Scanguage so can't give any side-by-side comparisons.

Custom mount so no suction cup issues here-

Anyone down for a day trip on the 20th? Peavine, HLT, VC? Just some light to mild wheeling, get the trucks dirty? I know a pretty cool trail from the VC highlands (lousetown rd.) to the hyroglyphics.. Short but sweet. Stock friendly (Robert )

This sweet truck's parked out in Davis, I bike past it every time I go to campus and back. It's got Nevada plates so I figured I'd ask here.
And when I say "bike" past it I mean  past it...

Huh...it has a BAMF sticker on the back of the camper shell, so I figured they'd have found out about BAMF through TW (which is how I found out about BAMF), but idk. I'll keep an eye out for the owner, though!

Possibly. And I think I may know the area you're talking about, if its where I think, we could possibly even come down from the top of rattlesnake into reno for extra dirt time (but damn those rocks in the road coming down might rattle some teeth out) :mudding:

IIRC I did that run with Robert and Weber a while back

Yes! Just a good, lax run to kiss the dry trail season goodbye.

I'll start an interest thread when I get home tonight

Congrats dude! Sliders and your leafs will still be plenty for a while, we can still have fun. You just need to squeeze 33's into your budget!

I believe that is modsquads truck. I ran into him in Death Valley in April, he was living in Vegas at the time.
