Kind of a shame he left already. This is one of the best places to advertise a part out.

I'm not gone. Just not going to be in here as much.

On the bright side....I found a mechanic who'd pass it (he's seen worse apparently and the hole isn't compromising structural integrity) for inspection if I get a leaf spring replaced. That would give me at least a year to figure out what to do.

Now I'm just trying to find a spring kit for my model. Found a lot for the pre and S runners.

I'm a bit skeptical so I have to decide if that's really the route I want to go.

They seem to have what I need. Now, to measure the Ubolt dimensions.

So you going to drive it for the next year waiting for it to fall apart? I don't get this way of thinking. o_O

basically just comes down to me trying to find the cheapest option because I don't have a whole lot of money right now.

If not taken care of this truck now, a year from now will be worth much less and longer you wait the less likely it will be repairable. Not mention the fact that if there is no structure failure now it doesn't mean it will not be few months from now. Deadly thing.

Of course. I realize all that. I'm not presented with a lot of options though.
