Hello all - We've arrived back in the USA and we are now in Tahoe!
We are settling-in and we've managed to borrow a 2001 Land Cruiser from a family member while we sort out our vehicle situation... (I placed an "order" for a Tacoma yesterday!).

    These are the good news...

The not so good news is that the 2001 Land Cruiser (Series 100) we have is now failing to start.

Would anyone here be able to recommend a shop near Tahoe city versed at working on this vehicle?

The engine cranks fine, but it does not fire...
I checked the battery connections (battery is recent and shows good voltage). This makes me think it is a fuel supply issue... I checked the fuses and these are fine. Without tools or a place to work, doing more is difficult...

Any recommendations would be appreciated! - Thanks in advance!

If you can get it to Truckee, Ward & Sons works on Toyotas and Subarus and does good work. Pretty reasonably priced too. Have used them a handful of times for stuff I didn't want to tackle.

Ward & Sons told me they do not really know the Series 100 Land Cruiser. :(

I'm in a bit of a bind... Any additional suggestions would be appreciated!

We fortunately got the 100 mile tow eligibility from AAA - but I am trying to avoid the dealer in Reno (I do not have experience with them either) but they are booked for a week AND I am hoping to not pay the dealer Rates!
    :spending:

    :pumpkin:
... makes me even more eager for the Tacoma!
