    Hi there, new member here
    18 TRD OR 130k miles

About 6 months ago I did some basic servicing. When I got to the front end I noticed that both front axles had just a little bit of play in them up and down and side to side at the yoke. I didn't think anything of it until I did my service again last week. If you could see the attached video I'm not sure if this amount of play is normal or not because I don't see any oil coming out of the front diff. Everything about the CV axles is fine boots are fine no tears or anything that believe it to be unrelated anyways. I know for certain that the driver side has significantly more play than it did before. Truck drives, feels and sounds as it always has ambut I'm not sure if this is a fix or leave it alone type deal

    Thanks

I can't seem to get your video to play properly for some reason...

It's completely normal for the driverside CV to have (what some might feel is excessive) play in it. The ECGS bushing swap should reduce it a good bit (although probably won't entirely eliminate it).

Thank you for the replies! Friend of a friend that works as a Toyota dealership mechanic says some play is normal too or just to keep an eye out for anything leaking

    This and that
I had a service tech tell me to check all the trucks on the lot, so we did. It was more fun than anything.
