they are new tires with warranty, take them back where you got them, and request replacements of the ones that wont balance. request they are road force balanced... they can tell which tire/wheels are the problem. Ski

Did your Duratracs have the 3 peak snow designation? Mine have been so good in the winter, that I sold off my dedicated winter tire/rims. Now I dont have to swap out tires twice a season. And believe me, here in Canada, they are needed.

They are C Load 265/75/16 @ 45 lbs each, vs the E Load 51 Lbs each. NO REGRETS!!!!

I just went to cooper at3 4s's from wildpeaks (after 65,000 satisfied miles on the wildpeaks) based on current rebates and the significant weight difference.

They have a tad more spin on gravel, but are much quieter and smoother on the road, 4lbs lighter per tire (265/75/16, not LT), and I'm seeing a 10-15% increase in gas mileage.

Overall, I'm pleased with the change. I miss how crazy-aggressive the falkens looked while still being a relatively calm tire.

I can also recommend the cooper at3 4s tires. Quiet, balance well, and look good even though they don’t look quite as aggressive as the falkens.

You might as well get rid of them, balancing issues have plagued the SL rated wildpeaks and there's a huge thread about it. toyo a/t are nice.

It’s tough because I’m sure the percentage is low, but you’re right the SL are known to have this issue more than other tires (anecdotally from this forum).

I have no clue. This was about 4-5 years ago on my old taco. Did they update them with that rating since then?

Yeah I’ve been taking them back multiple times now. I could have them replace them with other wildpeaks if I want.

Seems like the SL rated wildpeaks suffer from more issues than the E rated.

I replaced my KO2's a few months ago with P rated 265/70/17 Wildpeaks, they were able to remove a bunch of weight that was needed to balance the BFG's properly. I find the Falkens perform better in rain and snow, guess each truck and driver will respond differently.

Might be common knowledge but I didn't know of it until I did the research on these tires, there is a yellow dot from factory on each tire which should be aligned with the valve stem, not sure if this would cause your issues though.

Good luck OP, hope you get it sorted

Check out the new Toyo ATIIIs, great tire.

I had the same problem with my Wildpeaks. They would wobble at a 55 mph. I made three trips to discount tire to have the balanced checked and each time the tires required all new weights applied. They were 265/75r16 SL rated tires.
After the third attempt failed, Discount Tire was happy to exchange them for a better tire. They made a comment that I was one of several customers that had the exact same problem and that even they were getting frustrated with it.

Think it’s coming to that. I’m liking the look and weight of those Toyos. Any experience in the snow with them?

They need to be mounted with the yellow painted dot on the sidewall lined up with the valve stem, or they won’t balance. Tons of shops blow this off or have no clue. I don’t know how many random wildpeak posts I’ve had to say this on. Just search the forum in the future.

I have Wildpeak AT3W 265/75r16 (SL) on my truck. The tires have about 30-35,000 miles on them. I bought them from a friend who put the first 15000 miles on them. They work just fine. I used to have Toyo RTs on my old truck (edit: LOVED them), but I think my next tires will be the Yoko MT 255/85r16. My friend has some on his 80 series and can’t stop raving about them. I hear so many mixed reviews about K02s. I have some on my Land Cruiser and they’re fine, but it’s also a 6000 pound beast so kind of hard to compare. Also heard Coopers are good but the E load rated Coopers (I’ve heard) are super super hard offroad unless you’re carrying more weight than stock.

Edit: my friend burned through a set of K02s in 20,000 miles in his 5th gen 4Runner, but he drives like a d***head. He also had no trouble at all getting sideways in the rain, though that is his intention 99% of the time.

No snow experience, thankfully we dont have that problem in TN.

They are Mountain Snowflake qualified so I would bet they would do just fine.
