I put in a Kenwood DMX906S within the first month and never looked back. For my needs, much better than stock.

I went dasaita px6 on my 2019. Wireless carplay, front cam, etc. looks great, def has its quirks but good overall and way better than stock.

Yep, sure is...got that @ 2,000 miles. Pretty common here in CO in the winter, no sense replacing until the spring. I've had my Subaru Impreza since 2012 and am on my 5th windshield.

I put a Joying Android unit in designed for Toyotas. Basically plug and play with no wire splicing. Steering controls work, independent GPS antenna. 2 usb ports, one of which connects to the stock USB in the dash. Added a 4tb hardrive and I can play all the music and movies I want. I hotspot my phone to it and it works great with only a minor bug here and there. Well worth the investment.

I ordered the 4Runner T9 from cartrimhome on Friday. I just got the shipping number today. I also canceled my SiriusXM subscription and bought a 500GB portable rugged hard drive to fill with movies and all the music I could want.

The stock unit on the 4Runner with entune was the most disappointing thing about it. No other aftermarket radio looks as nice as this one.

I saw some of the posts above commenting on the music skipping. That is only with wireless carplay.

Is there a lot of trimming needed to install this? Or does it perfectly replace the mounting and trim placement of the factory head unit?

Perfect not only in fit but performance. After having this, there is no alternative. The competition is years behind in every way

This thing about skipping is sortof a moot point. There is no point in ever using wireless carplay to play music off your phone. It would be redundant since you could just install the exact same app on the headunit and play it from there.

I like the JOYING cause it has a volume knob, also the capacitive icons look similar to OEM.
    Still undecided though.
