I bought my Tacoma without the head rests. I've called the parts department and to order new ones would cost several hundred dollars because it's such a specialty case.

Does anyone have suggestions where to find cheap head rests without having to buy a completely new seat?

Check Ebay and things like that. Maybe even a junkyard?

X2 on this, I would call all the junk yards around you 1st, to see if anyone has any Tacomas. You might get lucky.

It's always safer to have them in case of a rear-end collision... As for buying them, check around the net, either Ebay or craigslist. But also try some of the toyota parts websites, they can usually get all sorts of stuff like that (they are dealers who just discount the stuff to sell more, that's why they dont have the huge dealer markup).

I like how the fj rear seat head rests curve and fit down on the seat, i tried them out of my buddies fj and they dont fit the tacoma. I still havent found a head rest that is short enough and for now my others sit in the storage under the seat. they block the rear view and i hate it.

I'm still looking around for headrests for a regular cab. Anyone have any hints or tips on where to find them that won't burn a hole through my wallet?
