Anybody buy an OEM sport hood and have it painted? Wondering if you got just the hood painted or had the fenders blended too.

Depends on the body shop it seems. I've seen people quoting they had it done for around 1K which would lead me to believe it's just the hood painted and hood parts. I've been quoted 1.5k plus because every shop I've gone to locally wants to blend the fenders.

It was the same when I had my super white 4runner and wanted an off road hood done. Except blending super white wouldnt make a bit of difference on the out come, the blend is primarily for the metal flake content. Still the shops refused to do the work without blending, the quotes basically made it clear why too. Paint and material was about 3-400 and labor with the blend was at least 1k.

    Good luck.
