Is the factory bottle jack useless after a lift? I understand that the rear axle height hasn't changed (unless running plus size tires) currently I'm on 285s with full OME lift. However I know the front could be an issue too. My local harbor freight has an aftermarket farm style jack for $60.

I usually use my hilift on my sliders or a 6" 4x4 on my floor jack. I know there are some high reach floor jacks out there, but the 4x4 has worked well enough for me so far

I'm primarily concerned while out away from home. I also use a 4x4 while in the garage. barely works lol but gets the job done.

Hi Lift style jack should be enough then. I have a 48" and can barley get the rear up with Dakars, provided I don't take the jack beyond 3/4 the way up. I would go for the 60" if you can.

I'm also curious about farm jacks. Do you use the same liftpoints on the truck?

Not really, most if not all of the factory points are out of reach for a hilift. The only spot you could maybe do would be on the pinch weld, but I don't like jacking off that, let alone with a hilift. It will put the whole jack waaaaayyyyyy to close to the body panels.

If you want to get the most use out a hilift, you should look into getting some sliders/steel bumpers or at the very least get their wheel lift kit. Basically hooks a strap onto your rim and then hooks to the jack then you can jack up the wheel.

Pinch weld would land the top of the hi-lift right into your door. They are useless without sliders or other aftermarket jack points.
I put the stock scissor jack under the axle in the rear and under the control arm in the front. Works just fine if I need to swap a flat.
