Replacement T-Case?

Other than a FJ is an Atlas the only other transfer case option for a Tacoma? Not looking for crawler case/mid case/dual case options.

 

I seem to recall that certain 4runner Tcases will work as well. I think the info is somewhere in the manual Tcase swap thread but it's a huge pile to read through.

 

The main objective is to be able to go to a lower low gear.

 

Northwest fab and midnight metalworks both make underdrive gears I believe

 

Inchworm used to just sell a lefty but I don’t think they are in circulation anymore.

 

5th gen 4runner has a manual shift t-case similar (same?) as the auto trans FJ cruiser. If you want lower gears check out a doubler, I think all things considered the NWF eco crawler is the way to go. Check out the last 30 or so pages of this thread:
