    Hello All,

My Taco is having the frame replaced soon. I have 114K miles and figure I might as well go ahead and replace the suspension components. Dealer doing the frame will install free since the old come off anyway. Currently it's stock SR5 (black - Tokicos?). The rear leafs were replaced about 15K ago with the recall. I'm thinking about upgrading to 4600 HDs on all four corners. Which coil spring should I consider? I'm not looking to lift (ever), just improve ride quality.

I've spent lots of time searching here and can't seem to find good suggestions for springs while also maintaining stock heights.

    Thanks!

Let me rephrase the question after I've done some research into aftermarket and OEM springs...if I put 4600's on all four corners and use OEM TRD Off Road springs, will I notice an improvement in ride/handling over my stock SR5 setup? Or should I use OEM SR5 springs with the 4600s? I'm basically looking for less nose dive on braking and improved ride and handling without having a harsh ride.

    Same crap everyone else got
The stock TRD off road suspension is 4600's with the TRD off road spring (not sure if it's different than the SR5 spring). So the ride will be identical to a stock trd off road truck. Mine had nose dive when breaking.

The stock OR suspension uses a 36 mm piston shock built by Bilstein to Toyota specs and packaged to look like a 4600. The 4600s will have higher oil volume/heat rejection capacity and will ride a little stiffer than the stock OR shocks.

As far as coils, off-road are progressive
Sr5 and sport share the same linear coils.
