Resealed my passenger side headlight this weekend and then it rained today and I saw I still am getting condensation in it.

Could it be the rubber seals around the bulbs? If so do I replace those, if you even can?

You can replace the seals, though I'd likely suspect they are okay. You may not have reinstalled them tightly, double check that.

Come say hello here..and I know a couple of guys on this thread are old pros at resealing the lights, they'll know more.

are you OEM Bowls are aftermarket? I think they sell a specific sealant for resealing the bowls for doing retro fits.

I got till July for my inspection ha so I could try that.

I even went and bought a depo headlight to replace it lol but even that one condensated so that's why I'm not sure if it's the seals or not but also not fully sure if depo headlights or good to go with for oem replacements. You get what you pay for

True but better to get it over with now. And I've heard hit or miss on the Depo's. Try checking the rubber seal again, I wonder if it isn't in tightly now that you mention 2 separate ones did the same thing.

Yeah ill take them all out and put them back in. Could even the seal over the main headlight bulb be a problem too if it is loose? Because I know it's just a plug for that one

Possible if you ran into it twice. I just did a bulb on my wife's Rav4 and those things are pretty hearty, living in MA and all.

That said I almost always hear of the fix as being a re-seal of the plastic so I reckon law of averages..

Guess I'll see if it's the bulb seals on the original headlight and hopefully get some dry days and let it bake out in the sun to get rid of the condensation to see if it comes back. Meanwhile I could bake the Depo one and reseal it with some JB Weld

Yeah dry would be nice ugh...so done with this crap. Can't hurt to do the Depo, but double check in that thread I posted first if it is JB or something else that is best to use.

So I had a buddy of mine at a body shop throw the depo headlight into a bake cycle and he was able to reseal it but came the conclusion that water was getting into the drain plugs on the headlight and I'm guessing it's not a good idea to seal those lol

FWIW....I had a friend who kept getting moisture in his lights. He finally bought some of that spray seal stuff you see advertised on TV. He masked off the lights leaving just the just the area where the front and back portion of the lights come together exposed. Sprayed 3 coats of the stuff on there, no more moisture. It's been at least a year and a half and still no moisture. He regularly uses high pressure car washes and again, no moisture.
