Results of a Drop-In K&N air filter???

Good thing i looked it up. I was considering the k&n filter. Thanks for the info. I'll stick with oem filters.

 

What do you mean by "shot"?

Did you send your oil in to be tested?

How long of an interval between oil changes?

Which weight oil, which style/brand?

How many miles on the engine?

 

Nope. Did the finger test. Dipped finger in oil and looks like gray metalic paint after 1500 on Mobil 1 5/30. Engines got 94k. Been knocking bad for 2k.

 

You have an XR correct?

Did you add in the oil pan spacer, for more capacity?

How many quarts of oil do you use to fill up, and do you use a regular sized oil filter, or a larger oil filter?

What were the conditions when it started knocking?

 

Got the K&N CAI for my 2017 DCOR. Big gains in MPG and acceleration. 3-4 MPG increase Had to remove it due to it not being legal in MA. Replaced it with a drop in and continue to see gains of 3MPG. Works as advertised for me.
