Wow, this makes so much sense now. I pulled mine apart and painted, installed the meso switchback marker, and diode dynamic switchback turn awhile back.

I posted on the tacoma subreddit and some troll was like oh, Kevin from tacoma world did that you mean you're a liar and a phony. I'm like, uh, first off, wtf? He's like oh, Kevin from tacoma world does the same setup, i just think you're lying and kevin from tacoma world did them and you're a liar and why are you lying about it cause kevin from tacoma world. I'm like who is this guy and why is he all over his d!ck??
    :D

P.s. my fingers hurt for a week after that, that sealant is seriously no joke, looks good though, and prices are fair, damn good really, given what I now know. Sorry for the off topic.

Thats why i was like dude, this troll is all over this dude. I'm like, you realize people can do this, its not some thing thats impossible for any but the elite to do.

Its deleted now, just a troll account, but you've got a secret admirer bud. Ever seen the talented Mr. Ripley? :D I think he loves you.

I had some fun with it, he clearly wasn't real bright, I poked some fun and moved on with my life. Got a good laugh when I found this thread, saw your name and it all hit me.

@no vtec 4me I got the fog lights today. Great work! Definitely different :) Thanks for doing them for me, and I will post pictures when I get them installed (though it may be a while). If anyone else is thinking about doing fog lights, the one thing I did notice is the halo sits in front of the lens, so it may lead to a dark stripe? Couldn't have been avoided with the Morimoto though. It doesn't bother me (my regular fogs will hardly ever get used for practical purposes), but just wanted to throw that out there for future thought.

And a general question for the forum: I know some have done the BHLM with a gloss finish. Any thoughts on it? I'm leaning gloss black so it will coordinate better with the 2020 Pro tail lights. I know it can be a little harder to spray, but any regrets? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

I’m working on my BHLM now and started with satin black. It’s a perfect mix between matte and gloss, it was a pain to spray and I couldn’t get it to a point I was happy. I ended up going matte. The problem with matte is it scratches if you look at it wrong. I guess both has its pluses and minuses.

So satin was a pain? I bet gloss sucks then. Did you strip the lights before painting them, or just spray on top of the chrome?

I did test the fogs with the halos installed, shouldn’t be any interference!

I didn’t strip them, I did sand them first just to rough up the surface. I just found the satin would run somewhere on the housing, no matter how light of a coat I applied.

Oh, bonus then :) Thanks again, you do really good work!

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. I grew up around automotive painters, and they always told me the 2 hardest colors were white, because it was hard to tell if you missed some or had a run, and black, because it left no doubt there was a run.

@no vtec 4me any input on the gloss option?

Yes, the main projector is still the low beam, and the 2nd projector is high beam only. So it will work just like stock.

The low beam projector is still the stock projector like it says in the description.
