Received this afternoon and installed about 4 hours later. Only issues I had were mine and Toyota's for making it so damn stupid to remove and replace the assemblies.

They're so slick and sexy. Crisp black color. Amazing contrast, but not too much, with the orange turn bucket lenses. The amber DRLs are stunning. I got the clear coat protection and I don't know if that's making the headlights extra shiny and clear, but the assemblies be like that. It almost feels like the lenses aren't even there.

But I keep coming back to the black interior and orange lenses. Such a good combination on a red truck. My pictures don't do it justice. OP continues to show his stellar work and quality and was very helpful. My experience mirrored everyone else's and I will one day return to get some 2020 OEM LEDs or whatever comes out to supersede it.

My journey to eliminate chrome (that isn't necessary for lighting) is now peacefully over.

Anybody have a picture of a white Tacoma with the bhlm which includes the amber signal cover? I’m on the fence about adding that smoked or clear.

Man, if only there were a thread with a bunch of examples of OP's work...

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/retrofit-and-bhlm-headlights.565466/

    Just busting your balls...

Seriously though, start on OP's first post and follow all of his posts in this thread. You can skip from one OP post to the next (skipping all of the non-OP posts in-between) by clicking the bottom right arrow on OP's first post.

Fortunately he posts pictures of most of the retrofits he completes. Then follow the correct light configuration to the owner and see if they have a white truck.

Unless you're going for a colorless look, which I could see with a white truck, amber covers are 100% the way to go.

Finished up a few sets of lights this weekend, this being one of them. Bhlm with tinted side markers, smoked turn signal covers, and an mled2.0 retrofit.

These are sr5 lights that were sent in to me to be modified. The exchange system is getting near impossible to maintain, so this will soon be the preferred method for getting lights from me!

    DEAL ALERT!

As these trucks are getting older, finding really good condition lights is becoming more and more difficult. With that, the exchange system Ive been using for the last 2-1/2 years is experiencing a slow, but inevitable death.

Along with having customers send headlights in to be modified, Im also looking to offer builds in brand new housings. This should help avoid the condition issues, exchange headaches, and just give all of you a better finished product. Im building a set of lights for my personal car in a set of TYC brand housings, which are an aftermarket oem replacement, and the quality is top notch. I can get these for our trucks for ~$600 for TRD, and ~$400 for sr/sr5. For total build pricing, you can just add those costs to the pricing list on page 1.

Between getting to keep (or sell) your stock lights, not having to pay to ship them back to me after the exchange, and getting a brand new perfect set of headlights, I think this pricing is all around a better deal for everyone!

Im willing to knock $100 off any retrofit build in a set of these housings to the first person to go ahead with this route. Feel free to shoot me a message with any questions!

Just waiting for my headlights to be completed and getting excited, so figured I'd ask some questions.

I originally had HID's in my 2019, but had issues with the harnesses. Morimoto never could resolve my issues, and it left me without headlights for a 9 hour drive, so that left a sour taste in my mouth.

My setup at that time was Morimoto HID kit, Tundra LED fogs. Nice output, nice looks. I was happy.

But I pulled the HID's out, moved to Hikari LED bulbs and DD SS3 Pro Fogs to hopefully get some of the light output back. Like the setup, but I know there's more performance left on the table. Getting my BHLM with MLED projectors. Going to DD SS3 Max Fogs as well. Also have a DD 30" LED bar behind the grill for my "high beams".

Anyone come/go from a combo like the above? Comments?

No, but I went with with them MLED 2.0 and I know you’re going to be happy! I also have the tinted OEM led fogs but not sure I’m going to keep them long term. The thing is, the MLED is so good you don’t need anything else it’s pretty crazy.

I'm no lighting expert but that sounds like a pretty sweet setup.
