Retrofit and BHLM Headlights

RX350 Retrofit , total black out with MESO Stage 1 side marker.

 

For those who have installed these do you have pictures of were you mounted the ballasts?

hows your turn signal and high beams with the reflector blacked out? Any night shots of the high beams ?

 

Did you request the high beam bowl blacked out? I was under the impression that keeping that part chrome was standard BHLM. I hate chrome but would prefer to keep it for functionality.

 

The turn signals have a custom piece of smoked acrylic behind the “bars” in the turn signal section. Because of this piece the signal is a little more dim, but still very visible when the signal is on. I also still have the stock turn signal bulbs in, if you upgraded to led that would make the turn signals brighter.

As for the high beams being blacked out, with the retrofit the new projector bulb is your high /low beam. So you can get away with blacking out the factory high beam section. The rx350 retrofit are plenty bright by themselves. I still have an led bulb in the high beam location but the hid’s over power them.

Yes I requested everything to be blacked out. I hated the chrome as well.

With the RX 350 retrofit , your new projector is now your hi/low beam. So being blacked out doesn’t really effect it.

 

I’d be interested in just a standard BHLM, no retrofit. But my stock lights have some fading on the top of the lens. I’m sure you would prefer a swap with near perfect lights.

 

Yes, the lights you trade in end up going to another customer so they need to be in very good condition.

Two options would be:

-buying an extra set to send in to be modified

-sending your lights in to be modified

 

I hear ya. I’m having it left chrome even though I dislike, I do like having the extra light with the highs on.

Does the turn signals have a amber lens in front of the bulb?

 

Yes
