Retrofit and BHLM Headlights

People may not know this, but these can go full white or amber too to be street legal. I'm pretty sure those headlights have every single mod possible haha.

 

Those look really nice! Since the RGB controller is bluetooth and the headlights can be on when the truck is not running, does that mean that the bluetooth chip is always powered and could cause slow drain?

 

I wire the Bluetooth controller into the drl. So the controller is only powered when the drl is on.

 

Any sets available to be purchased outright?

These got a standard bhlm with tinted side markers.

I also FINALLY found a painter than can refinish headlight lenses for me so these got that treatment as well. The original clear coat was sanded off, and they were resprayed with PPG automotive clear. They look FRESH! This service will be a $75 option.

**UPDATES**

For those of you not following the custom automotive lighting industry closely, there was little shake up in June with pricing. Morimoto and all related companies changed to MAP pricing, which got rid of dealer's ability to offer discounts and sales, while simultaneously raising prices slightly and lowering the discount they were giving to dealers (smaller profit margins for everyone).

I've been working to make sure I can offer y'all the same great product at the same price, so I've made just a couple changes. Most notably I will be ditching the morimoto d2s 5.0 projector and moving to the NHK g5-brt projectors. Extremely similar in looks and performance, they are both modeled off the Hella G5 projector. They are basically just two different company's take on the same exact projector. Second, I've been jumping around to a few different ballasts and have settled with the Hylux 2a88 35w. A small bit of research will show you this is THE ballast to go with in its price range. These two changes have allowed me to continue offering the same product at the same price.

I have also added pricing for a retrofit using the morimoto mled 2.0 projector. This is a bi-led projector that is becoming very popular, and for good reason. For info on these, or any of the above mentioned projectors, give YouTube a quick search and you'll see comparisons and reviews of all of them. Lightwerkz' channel is a good place to start!

Lastly, I have mostly switched back to Diode Dynamics for the switchback drl's. They've updated their product over the last year or so and are designed to work a little more seamlessly with our trucks. They also put out a full amber DRL board which is super cool, hoping some of y'all choose to add those!

Oh, one more thing! I have found a painter (which was not easy to do!) who I've been working with to have headlight lenses refinished. Ive been in a hard place as these trucks are getting older and im getting more and more high mileage lights in on trade. I will be offering this as an option in the very near future, but for now I'll just be offering up a few sets of standard bhlm's with refinished lenses as kind of a trial run. The refinishing process is basically sanding the lenses down to bare plastic, removing any blemishes, and spraying them with PPG automotive clear coat. All work is done at body shop, and sprayed in a paint booth. They come out looking amazing, and ensure you're getting great condition headlights on your truck that are now protected even better than they were from the factory. Pricing for this will be in the $80 range when I introduce it as an official option. Below is what you can expect from this service.

Let us know what the all amber DRL boards look like when you do one? Also, is there any option for single color halo's? I don't want to have to mess with the RGB app, neat as it is...

 

All these headlights are so nice but sadly I don't have the money to do this currently. I need to start saving up for this mod.

As far as single color halos, I can get amber, red, or blue. Amber halos with amber drl boards would look amazing

 

That is exactly the configuration I am going for (along with Meso stage 2 sides and projector upgrade). I ordered the Meso stage 2 side markers this week since they became available. I plan to send you my set when I want to have my headlights done - I just have no idea when that will be yet, so doin preps.
