Has anyone installed these in their rear bumper, instead of the post style that I see everyone does?
#1 Is there enough room behind the metal bumper to successfully cut a receiver hole and mount them without frame/body interference? I have never taken the bumper off, and its raining a monsoon out, so figured I would ask.
#2 Has anyone ever made the wiring up to a 2way switch, NOT to turn on or off, but to actually be able to turn on while out of Reverse in one position, and the other position to only operate when engaged in reverse?

your bumper should have plenty of room to mount these. The wiring can be done for sure but you will have to find the right switch. could also be done with 2 on/off switches. Run power to both, ground one to the taillight ground and have the other grounded to your truck. This would allow you to use one switch to turn on/off while in reverse and the other for when ever you want.

Heck yeah, knew someone would come through. Are you very pleased with the performance of them being mounted flat in the bumper, and not being able to angle them outward that much?

Just be sure to get the flood version of the lights, not the spot version.

I found that picture on the internet. I have been wanting to do the same to my truck but have not had the time to do so.

I am interested in that bracket you found for the lights.... where did you find them?

Amazon. When I looked up the lights, it was offered as a combo deal.

I opted out for the angled peices though. I am installing a back-up camera as soon as I get my tax $$ and didn't want to have any voids in the middle of my drive line of sight. I haul a small utility trailer alot, and have to back up to it during the dark most of the time.
