The only issue that might come with these setups is clearance when crawling and such. I've seen quite a few videos of the exhaust getting pushed up into the bumper. I'd be concerned about these being struck due to sitting lower than the skid points.

2 options for something that won’t hang under.

First, like the ugly 3rd brake light led strip between the tailgate and bumper, put a white one instead.

Second if you don’t mind drilling holes in the bumper:

I actually have a rigid pod that is mounted on some metal that goes inside the hitch and has a 7 pin plug. The only problem is it perfumes out from the plumber making parking the truck inside the garage a very close fit. Also the rigid D series tend to be a concentrated light.

I don't have the arb bumper. I am liking the Baja designs as they are tucked away and they look like they belong in that spot. I like them better than the Diode Dynamics. I just need to figure out if I can add the the 3 auxiliary switches inside, if I can, that would be perfect because then if I am driving in pitch darkness, I can hit that switch to turn them on and hopefully then my rear view mirror that I installed(wolfbox g900 pro) will see the road behind me. Of course if there are cars then that would not be needed as the camera works ok with some light, but not in pitch darkness.

    Hey @Wahhabm,

If you're considering adding reverse lights, our S2 kit for the 4th Gen is a fantastic option for extra visibility when backing up or loading a trailer. This kit also comes with a toggle switch, allowing you to easily switch on a chase light during group rides to help guide everyone through.

At Baja Designs, we also offer other reverse light solutions, including flush mount options and our S1 hitch mount kit. I’ll include links to these options below for you to explore. If you have any questions or need assistance with lens patterns and configurations, feel free to reach out, and I’ll help get everything dialed in for you.

I did the Heretic pods. Designed my own mounting brackets and made a custom harness using an 18" 7-pin extension.

@Gurvy522, did your Taco not come with the Aux switches on cab dash?
Because the OEM pigtails provide for reverse lamps fused connection at rear bumper:

Nope, I've got a limited. No factory AUX. Regardless, I want it to go off when reverse is engaged. So connecting into the 7pin was the easiest solution.

A Limited with no Aux switches...damn.
For the price I'd expect all bells & whistles.

Yeah, it's not an option for us, unfortunately. Just the OR Premium, TRD Pro, and TH get them.

Interesting solution. Honestly the harness took me all but 30 mins to make and maybe less than 5 minutes to hook up. My trailer doesn't have reverse lights and the heretics pull about 1.5a so I felt like the 7-pin was the most straightforward approach. Here's a pic of the harness being made. I use non-insulated crimp connectors and just heat shrink over them. Then harness wrap and some zip-ties.

Could it be a region thing? Depending on what is assembled to where it goes...who knows. Still think the Limited is just Limited...

Baja designs sells a kit with s2 lights that can connect to the 7 pin. I guess that will be my route as my hybrid trd off rd doesn't have those aux switches. I just need a good discount code for Baja designs ;)
