technical service Bulliten. The dealer admits some vehicles meeting certain specs have a problem and they fix it free of charge. Its not a recall. The rear spring tsb was a problem on some tacomas they would bottom out with just a few pound in the rear. Bottoming out would be when the frame hits the bump stops most often occured when passing on bumps. Our trucks came with 3 leafs in the rear well with the Tsb they would give you 4 springs per side. and you truck wouldn't bottom out. It also gave all non TRD trucks the Belstien shocks that the TRDs have. There is a bunch of info on the TSB just type that in the search. They were supposed to have fixed it by 08 You can check here there will be a list maybe even a sticky covering this topic.

You should get the OME N140S's w/ the 885's. They are designed to compliment the OME 885's. If you keep the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) shocks, you will more than likely experience a rough ride because they do not have the right spring rate to match the 885's.

I haven't had any problems with them (the shocks) Call Toytec yourself, or whatever lift kit you are going with. They will be very knowledgeable.
