Best argument yet for why some don't necessarily read the entire thread.

Oh the factory bed scratches....Ugly WHITE scratches.

And it will puncture if it gets a high pressure point.

The thread was running along just fine until you jumped in without reading ANY of it. All pertinent info was in before that.

So can I get a factory one bed liner then? Not sure if my taco came with one.

I think the money would be better spent on tailgate reinforcement from Mobtown and bed reinforcement from Total Chaos.

The OEM bed mat holds up fine and it looks good with the Toyota logo. If it gets too dirty, just pull it out and spray it down with soap or de-greaser. Let it soak for a few minutes (scrub with a deck brush if needed) and then hose it down with a garden hose or pressure washer.

I've had my bedmat for over a year now. Looks the same as when it was brand new out of the box. It's very tough rubber and it's seen it's fair share of abuse.

Just depends what you need to justify what's better money spent... I personally don't need those.

I just go dirtbiking and camping, and I throw in tools and firewood recklessly and the bed stays looking brand new. Which is all I want.

But I already spent the money and couldn't be happier

The reason I didn't go with one is because I know crap builds up under it and I didn't like how it wasn't a complete solution for the bed. But for $500 less definetly worth it to most people!!

I have bought and sold more pickup trucks in the last 26 years than I care to mention (or recount) and NOT ONCE has anyone said "well, that bed's all scratched up so can you drop the price". I use my trucks LIKE TRUCKS. Firewood, tools, rocks, feed, animal crap (I raise goats), greasy tractor parts, you name it and my truck will haul it.

One of the reasons I bought my 2017 Taco was the composite bed. No rust. As a matter of fact, the 2011 Silverado I traded in barely had any paint on the tailgate left and the salesman never said one word about it (actually, I don't think he even looked in the bed).

Spending $600 on a spray in bedliner makes no sense to me guys, sorry.

This is what you are riding your dirt bike up on. A sheet metal skeleton.

Factory bed mat is all you should ever need, keeps things from slipping and protects bed.

Good deal. I would like to have one on my tailgate but I don't know if I'm going to keep my truck.

I got the Westin bed matt off of Amazon, fits well and is nice thick rubber. Only ~$65.00 delivered (Prime member) IIRC.

If you're going to spend $50k on a TRD pro linex is worth it. To all of you other tacoma owners you can stick to your bed matts :D

I got my truck oil undercoated last fall. There is no surface rust on anything under the truck after a New England salt filled winter.

I don't know where you're from, but this is where I got mine done. http://nhoilundercoating.com/

$150 and my year old truck has no rust anywhere. Not even surface rust on fasteners.

Great peace of mind with all of the frame recall going around.

EDIT: FluidFilm is a brand name. Stuff works great. I just didn't want to do it myself so I had someone else do it with their own brand of stuff.
