Not so easy to add air, plus what about when the truck has cargo in it, and you want to add more air?

Good point... and something I didn't think about at all  I have a cap and use mine mostly for towing so that situation didn't even occur to me but I could see loading a bunch of soil in the bed and being pissed 'cause I couldn't get to the air bag fillers.

Not 100% sure if that'd be a good idea. In theory, it should work, line pressure is line pressure but, if you install as intended, you get 2 stand alone, pressure locked systems. If you T them together, air volume could go back and forth between the 2 sides. It would do nothing to steady a load side to side (say when cornering). I'd leave the 2 sides independent.

When mine was installed, I wondered the same thing... and realized if the manufatorer didn't design them to be filled together from one valve, there had to be a good reason. If one tube breaks... you only loose one bag instead of both, for example.

The compressor kits come with Ts allowing the use of one gauge to monitor both airbags, as well as fill them. Therefore i would say it's possible.

Here is one of many examples:
    http://www.suspensionconnection.com/cgi-bin/suscon/2158.html

"Single gauge control ties the two air springs together providing equal inflation of both air helper springs. Ideal for towing or hauling centered loads."

I've had mine tee'd together for 3 years and never had a problem. The only advantage to keeping them separate is if you haul severely uneven loads.

That centered load thing is what would worry me. Your truck is moving and every time you take a turn, there's a lot more stress on the outside bag. If the system is T'd together, it was just collapse and the air would rush to the inside bag causing that infamous 'truck roll'. You'd then just be relying on your stock suspension to counter the truck roll effect. You could always valve it so it would be a little harder to rush side to side, like the way they'd valve a shock. I'm not sure how difficult that would be do do though, or how much of a concern the cornering really is. It's not like you'll be racing when fully loaded anyways... I'm curious about this and just thinking out loud hoping it triggers some thoughts from others on this.

Personally I am going to the junk yard and rip a ride level package and compressor out of a caddy or other top end GM car and install it in the Tacoma. It is not had to do and will only cost around $20.

Yeah, I'd think you wouldn't want to T it, because separate you can balance an uneven load.

Do any of you guys with the bags jack the truck up on the side by the frame?

I do this everytime I rotate tires, and from what I understand it is a big no no with bags.

I'll proabaly wind up getting them anyhow, because I WILL have a boat this year.

Dealer won't do the TSB for me, and I don;t feel like screwing around now that I have an AAL installed.

But last summer when I towed a little 16 ft fishing boat, my ass was sagging bad... emabarrassing...

They need to be deflated before being put on a lift, or jack.

Be nice to see your truck sometime and compare some mods and check out eachother ride! what side of town are you on?

In my opinion I wouldn't mount the schrader valves inside the small rear compartment because you might need to add air when the bed is full (ie gravel, mulch, etc).
