    honestly in these (now, this) thread im just learning how wide spread the show was popularity wise. obviously knew that it was big, but for some reason i just figured the "die hard fans" were more localized to the southeast. the canadian and west coast love is surprising, but great.

    Godspeed, Andy Griffith. Fair winds and following seas...

    The Andy Griffith show is one of my all-time favorites. It's one the very few shows where each episode had some sort of moral. Truly a great show - proves that today's crap isn't needed to succeed. I watch it every chance I get, that is when the wife isn't around...

    And damn kids these days won't even know who he is.
