Well I appreciate that, like I said I have searched and have been searching to no avail. My OP was very specific and written not to waste time but hey now, look at all the fun I've been having since then. Clearly no one here has used this hood per design.

I wouldn't have said anything, except with the kind responses I feel I just need to.

Actually you're incorrect, the air will be at a higher pressure therefore traveling at a higher speed which makes your point pertaining to straight to TB useless. It will be sealed which is why I'd like to see if anyone has done it already to get some ideas how they sealed the hood to air box however if no one has I surely will. I have no hard on here just trying to get some photos, apparently being blunt when asking creates butt hurt but I couldn't care less whose butt gets hurt. And yes this is for speeds above 50-55, more like 90+ and the like, I didn't buy a TRD OR not to enjoy its potential off road and it's far from done only just begun.

Good choice, coming to get abused on TW is not a solid move for someone with familial troubles

OP thanks for your Service. I too served 10 years in the Army but I do not go around asking for recognition. Looks to me like you are smart enough to answer your original post without any help from me I am just another idiot on this forum who owns a second gen. And as far as being wealthy maybe you can buy some friends because you sure crashed and burned here. Good Luck be safe.

I find it fascinating you spent no time arguing the merits of my statements, but rather, took them as attacks on your intelligence...

You must be wildly smarter than me, so let's get to brass tacks on why my argument is wrong. Pull out those Bernoulli equations and slipstream analysis and show me what's up.

Supposedly this hood has provisions for heat extraction at the rear corners. The thing with today's engines they are designed to run much hotter than engines of before. It's thermodynamics and utilizing as much of that heat energy as possible you don't want too much heat escaping. It will work I have no doubt and the mechanism to open/close the scoop is really simple but the seal between air box hood not as simple.

OP thinks that for some reason, Toyota, the world's largest automobile company, overlooked a way to improve performance on the top selling midsize truck in North America.
