    Hi all,
I have a 2010 V6 TRD Off Road Double Cab that I am planning on taking from West Virgina to Atlanta. We are planning on putting approx. 2500 miles on the truck within a couple of days. A couple things I am doing: Filling the tires up to 35 psi to increase gas mileage, changing the oil, making sure all fluids are topped off....

I went to advanced auto and they have an oil change jug of Mobil 1 on sale. It says it has 5.25 qts in it, I know the manual says 5.5 qts.... Is the .25 really that important? Thx!

    Clazzio seat covers,
If the engineers say 5.5 quarts .... then 5.5 it should be .... just my opinion.

    Stock for now
I always get two 5 gal containers at Wally World & one qt, that is enough for two changes. WW has had them on sale for $21 the last few times I went there.
How much is it advance auto?
I would get what the book calls for.
The receipts I keep for my records in case Toyota needs them or says it wasn't done correctly.

I would make sure its 5.5...specialy for that long of a drive.. its not that much more to buy a quart. It prob would not make that much difference, but why take a chance for a few dollars.

Advanced has a special going on, buy the jug and you get a free mobil 1 filter.... I always have used them, so it saved me approx. 2 bucks... I got an extra half quart from when I changed it last time lying in my locker at work, so I will use that....

5.5 is a guide. Fill it until it registers full on the stick on flat ground after the engine has been run, warmed and sits for a while. I usually start with about 5.25, run it, let it cool and check then top off. It usually takes 5.5 though.
