Hey guys. hoping you can give me some good advice as usual. :)

im planning on driving down to napa valley later in april, and was trying to plan out a couple stops on the way down from portland.

the number one thing I want to see is crater lake. Planning on driving through either on the way down or on the way back.

my other option was redwood national forest.

there were a couple tame unpaved road trails i found in both parks that seemed like they would be pretty cool just to check out the scenery.

Im wondering if you guys have any other recommendations on places to stop and check out? Its more of a long weekend trip, so we wont have time to stay in a remote area over night or anything.

I have driven down to lake tahoe before, but i did not have time to stop and check out anything we passed. So i wanted to take this trip a little more leisurely and stop at attractions on the way.

If you're going to Crater Lake and then south to Lake Tahoe, I would suggest driving over Tioga Pass and going through Yosemite. One of the most amazing places on earth!

A bit longer of a drive, but well worth it.
