This morning I, and millions of other retail investors, were blocked from purchasing (entering new buy orders) on the Robinhood platform, without notice. This clear example of market manipulation has forced the stock down from over $500 in after-hours to less than $300 as of this writing. Meanwhile, hedge fund interests are NOT blocked from buying the shares being traded and the lower price obviously benefits them.

We retail investors have followed all the rules and finally stood to gain a LITTLE bit from Wall St and they suddenly change the rules "to protect" us. I am requesting you use your subpoena power and regulatory authority to examine whether Robinhood colluded illegally with any other actors who may have held short positions on these stocks to reduce the number of buyers for $GME and therefore deflate the price. This is market manipulation.

It's gonna be interesting to watch this unfold from a legal perspective. There's already investigations being called for by some folks. Can't really talk about it much more because of CoC so let's just hope everyone who uses RH gets this info and files complaints with the SEC

 

I don't play with robinhood or any gamestop stuff, but this from Robinhood's agreement is interesting.

16. Restrictions on Trading.
I understand that Robinhood may, in its discretion, prohibit or restrict the trading of securities, or the
substitution of securities, in any of My Accounts. I understand that Robinhood may execute all orders by
Me on any exchange or market, unless I specifically instruct Robinhood to the contrary. In the event of a
breach or default by Me under this Agreement, Robinhood shall have all rights and remedies available to
a secured creditor under all applicable laws and in addition to the rights and remedies provided herein. I
understand that Robinhood may at any time, at its sole discretion and without prior notice to Me: (i)
prohibit or restrict My access to the use of the App or the Website or related services and My ability to
trade, (ii) refuse to accept any of My transactions, (iii) refuse to execute any of My transactions, or (iv)
terminate My Account. The closing of My Account will not affect the rights or obligations of either party
incurred prior to the date My Account is closed.

This, plus them crashing several times last year during volatile market days proves how horrible this company truly is. I only hold a small number of shares there from when I was learning. Now I do it all through Fidelity, but in order to transfer my shares out of Robinhood, they charge $75. Crap company, 10/10 would NOT recommend.

 

I just got back into my Fidelity account, but funds are tied up in RH because I'm an idiot. Also getting my E-Trade account back. Can't wait!

 

They won't do free in kind transfers to another brokerage? Ouch.

All my stuff is with Fido and Vanguard. No complaints about either of them, but other than some WMT I've had for over 15 years I'm not the individual stock type guy.

Didn’t think I’d come across this topic on here. I’ve been a member of Wallstreetbets since 2015 the past week has been a wild ride to say the least. I closed my RH account back in March of 2020 after the RH outage cost me around 5k I’ve been using Fidelity since with no problems currently holding 400 shares of AMC and 124 shares of GME. to the moon baby!

 

I still use RH for small trades. They are OK, well accept tax forms..............

I love how this is a thing but nobody bothered actually suing them when their servers were down in March of 2020 and people were completely unable to even get on their shitty app or website to trade. Tons of people lost money because their options simply expired worthless or were unable to close rapidly declining positions.

As a result, Robinhood tried to bribe users with a lame "credit" in return for signing an NDA saying they were not responsible, which is a glaring admission of guilt. I told them to fuck off and wasn't going to sign shit.

Fidelity from now on. Never use robinhood. I've been clanging this bell for a long time now (since, well, March of 2020), but it seems folks have to learn their lesson the hard way.

The only worthwhile thing Robinhood did was change everybody else's fee format to $0 trades and just skimming a little for each transaction. Other than that, they can burn in hell.
