So Ive seen numerous Jeeps running rock sliders, and they hang off the jeep far enough that a closely parked vehicle would bash its door into that instead of the side of the Jeep.

Any idea if they make ones for 2016 Double Cab Tacomas with dimensions that could serve that same purpose? Im in Colorado Springs....and Ive never gotten as many door dings in all the places Ive lived like Ive gotten here. Parkinglots suck and I want to protect my investment any way I can.

The 2016 tacoma has slider options. look at the vendors and find a design you like.

Most sliders would serve that purpose as long as you aren't parked next to a vehicle that is taller than your taco

Yes most sliders will help with door dings. Most are built to order so you can always have them extended a little. I have @RelentlessFab and they extend out and up enough to help.

Sliders or steps can both can protect the truck from door dings. My stock tube steps stuck out farther than my sliders. If I would have known how close my sliders were going to be, I probably would have had them pushed out another inch.

I have the @allpro sliders and have not found any dents on my truck. I also don't park in the nearest parking spot to the store either. I tend to part out in BFE to prevent any damage from other idiots in the parking lot.

I've already collected a spot on one slider where someone obviously tried to ram their door into my truck. Like said above, as long as the other vehicle is lower than your truck you should be OK. Most door ding idiots drive cars or vans. Others in lifted vehicles *tend* to show respect. It's their passengers I worry about most.

I also park away from all the idiots whenever possible.

Ours stick past the outer most portion of the door by 1" so yes, they will protect you from a car. A full size truck or SUV not so much because they're doors are higher than a stock Tacoma.

I make a point of purposely parking as close as humanly possible to the driver side door of vehicles who park like douche bags haha.

I've actually seen with my own eyes people climb through their vehicle and then purposely SLAM their door into my truck (thinking they dinged me), close it, and drive away satisfied that they got even haha.

I just roll laughing because all they did was take a chunk out of their own paint on my already beaten to hell and rusty sliders hahah.

Alright Im gonna invest in some...and if need be I suppose I can chop them and add a segment on to extend them outward so even bigger vehicles will still clip their doors on them

Sliders wont help with dings from the back doors of any sedan or SUV tho.

I also park in the back 40. Most lazy people that will ding your door are the ones trying to walk as little as possible

Better to ask what I have not done.
    Thanks Rebecca,

Nothrill87 i can definitely build you a set of sliders, and i know first hand that they stop door dings and other cars trying to park... i have watched people bounce of my sliders in parking spots because they were not paying attention and turned in to wide and clipped my tire and then my sliders. Cost me about 20 cents in paint to touch it up and she had to get a nee fender, bumper, and headlight

I have the Relentless Fabrication sliders, they will protect from cars but larger trucks or ones with lifts will have doors that come over the sliders.
