I just put these in my AC and they sound great. I haven’t touched the tweeters yet and honestly don’t know if I will now. I’m going to give it a week or two and then decide if I should install the Subaru tweeters. Since I have a 2 gen they won’t be a plug and play, but I think I can use the oem tweeter harness and attach wires to the new tweeters.

These are the 3 ways I installed.

Those are coax speakers, not a component system. Therefore, no need for a tweeter unless you want more highs. If so, you will need to replace the brand new speakers you bought.

Pioneer CD, Megaloud/JBL amps, Rockford/Polk speakers.

Have a similar set of these in mine with an amp, love.

I did the 2 way ones, a 1" tweet and crossover (all Rockford Fosgate). I didn't use any of the OEM wiring..much easier.

Thanks , I kind of knew that when I was doing my research as a noob to upgrade. I also thought a more robust set of tweeters up higher would also be a good thing. Glad I waited and chose what I did. And no need for additional tweeters. These 3 ways are really all I need with the AC. I don’t know about break in periods, but after a few more days on them they seem to be sounding even better.
