Here's the list of Toyotas (from the lawsuit) that used soy based wiring:
    Screenshot_20190425-001802_Samsung Internet.jpg

Pretty much every manufacturer was named.
As far as "who" stated the 3rd gen Tacoma has no soy based wiring, it in one of the hundreds of videos Toyota had released on the Tacoma. Sorry I cannot remember the specific one.

All wires are going to get chewed through, soy or not. Rodents will eat through anything, wood, aluminum, drywall. Soy wiring just became a poster child as its the only “sweet” substance compared to the rest.

Best thing to do is what others have already posted, get a cat, get a trap, or if available, park in a garage.

If you can increase the amperage your truck would defend itself. Think of the cat and the Christmas lights in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.

I think I'm safe. That's one mean ass feral cat that was born on my patio around 12 years ago.

She likes to leave me critters by the door going from the garage to the kitchen.

Total sidenote....those are beautiful cats lol

I've never had any issues with rodents in the driveway, but my gf over the years with 2 different Rav4's has had issues in both and she parks on the opposite side of the driveway

Just stock interweb photo. Seemed applicable for the thread, and I found it amusing.

Irish Spring soap seems to be pretty decent at this too. Just buy a box, distribute the bars, inhale deeply. Enjoy.

I have tried Irish Spring soap too but no joke the little bastards chewed it up and made a nest right next to it.

At least they were “As clean as a whistle”, and their farts smelled good for a day or two.

Yeah I did some googling on it, it seems like it depends on the species, city mouse vs country mouse. Maybe the mice you had were Irish?

OK as a electrician this may just work, trouble is you will need to reset the breaker each time

Its hard telling, the soap they chewed off ended up putting in the nest, seems like they will chew thru just about anything.
