    Hi TW,

Today leaving work I randomly thought about putting a roll bar on my tacoma. I think it would look badass, and add to my build. I was just wondering if anyone had one, and if you do, can you link a picture? Any review/piece of advice would be great! Thanks.

What do you mean by a roll bar?

Like a bar that goes across the front of the bed

They aren’t called roll bars because they do absolutely nothing in the event of a roll over. I think most companies call them “sport bars”

“Chase rack/bar” or “headache rack” is what they are commonly called

I think it's really just a light bar in this case since it isn't welded to the frame

I grew up in the 80s and still call them Roll Bars. I had one in my Bronco, and my brother had one in his Scout. Seemed like every pickup had a "roll bar" back then.
You have a couple of options with your Tacoma. This guy makes one off/custom roll bars, but you will get exactly what you want.

N-Fab made one, but it is no longer one their website, so I am thinking they stopped making it and you can only purchase existing inventory.

They are definitely making a comeback...I see more bed bars like the N-fab on several trucks

I always referred to them as roll bars too down here in the south. I had some double ones in my old '91 Yota.

I bought this “Roll Bar” years ago from a guy that owned a 1996 Tacoma. It’s tight but fits in my 2nd gen bed. It’s definitely only good for lights, in the event of a rollover it will punch a hole straight through the composite bed if it doesn’t fold in half first.

I’d get some sweet exhaust stacks before that roll bar.
